From the first greeting from one of the friendly staff, your golf experience here is shaped by an attitude that says - welcome, we want you to come back.
It’s a promise we make to every golfer who visits “The Haileybury Golf Club” and it’s a promise we keep from the time you drive into our parking lot until you leave at the end of your game. You’ll feel like a member.
Come back to the Haileybury Golf Club a club unlike any other in the area with a rich heritage and scenic vistas to match.
As our detailed history page will tell you, we were established in 1921 when the riches of the Cobalt silver mines drew a certain type of adventurous and daring person seeking to make their fortune, to our shores.
Some most certainly did, and our first hole boasts the same view of Lake Temiskaming that these eventual millionaires would claim as their own along Lakeshore Road. Known in 1921 more commonly as Millionaire’s Row, a Haileybury by-law once stated that “ no one on this drive should be seen with a lunch pail in hand.” While The Haileybury Golf Club, still overlooks these same million dollar vistas, we have been able to relax this by law, and now being a proud part of the modern City of Temiskaming Shores, can say, welcome to one and all.
Bring your lunch pail, if you feel the need, but we can certainly give you ,the golfer, an experience that you will not forget, and provide a snack or two to help you along your way.
We are still looking for those “adventurous and daring people” to challenge our course. Bring a friend. First time visitors to our course, when asked, say the scenic views on holes 3 to 5 were “certainly worth the walk” even if their game wasn’t at its best.
